Bile Balance Healing Potion | Aromatherapy Blend for Excess Bile and/or Jaundiced Condition
Safety first
Familiarize yourself with aromatherapy and do a skin patch test before using any essential oil. Learn what you need to know with The Ultimate Aromatherapy for Beginners Guide here (free to members)
As always, consult a trusted healthcare practitioner before trying any essential oils.
See below for contraindications and age requirements before trying this blend.
Remember, children are given lower amounts - see dilution chart mentioned below and always mind age requirements of all oils.
Most oils/blends have a three week time limit of use. Because of this, I recommend having a waxing moon blend and a waning moon blend for every need. That’s why there are two blends for many of the same things.
Most oils/blends are best at a 2% dilution, but some oils are better at much less like peppermint, pepper, and cardamom. (Half of the adult dilution or less for children, see dilution info below).
Oils/Blends are typically meant to be used up to 3 times a day unless otherwise stated.
If an oil occurs throughout multiple blends you are currently using, this needs to be taken into account in terms of dosing frequency and length of time.
See all specific info for every oil of every recipe before using.
Never take essential oils internally.
When using diluted, prepared, aromatherapy blends, a few drops on the wrist or forearm is typically ideal. Use lower dilutions in perfumes and body lotions and any other product intended to be used in a high amount such as a lotion or perfume or room spray.
The Blend
Note: This isn’t really so much a blend since it is just one oil - but it is a powerful oil. The other two oils that would technically work risk the exposure to thujone so it isn’t worth recommending them. That risk is not present with this safe, revered, and effective oil.
Rosemary (R. Officinalis) diluted properly according to base recipe below.
Recommended Dosage & Length of Usage
Can use up to 3 times a day for 3 weeks, then cease using for 3 weeks. If using continually, I recommend having a blend for waxing moon phases and a blend for waning moon phases to avoid toxicity.
Why It Works (Actions):
Antibilious - Essential oil used to eliminate an excess of bile or to improve a jaundiced condition
Cholagogue - Essential oil used to promote increased flow and discharge of bile into the intestines by contracting the bile ducts
Hepatic - Essential oil used to strengthen, tone, and stimulate the secretion and functions of the liver, causing an increased flow of bile
Methods of use:
All methods of use as mentioned in the base recipes guide
Cautions & Contraindications
A note about toxicity: toxic constituent refers to the constituent that can become a toxin in your body if used longer than the recommended time or used more than the recommended dosage.
Rosemary - Toxic constituents are borneol, camphor, and pinene. Despite the recommendation of rosemary for asthma, exercise caution if a client has chronic asthma, epilepsy, or hypertension. Rosemary R. officinalis is an effective antispasmodic, but camphor in excessive doses (five millimeters per kilo of body weight) can aggravate asthma and epilepsy. Always use the Recommended Daily Dose. It can regulate low blood pressure, however. A skin patch test is recommended prior to topical use. It is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy and should not be administered to babies or children younger than the age of four.
Note 1,8 cineole is an oxide and is also known by different names depending on the botanical source. It is called eucalyptol in eucalyptus, cajuputol in cajuput, and 1,8 cineole in other essential oils. Thus, 1,8 cineol, eucalyptus, and cajuputol are the same constituents. You may also see 1,8 cineole spelled 1,8-cineole. Either way is correct. Consistency is important. Essential oils that contain more than 10% 1,8 cineole, eucalyptol or cajuputol must be used with care with. Children are specifically sensitive to 1,8 cineole. Always check the percentage of 1,8 cineole in essential oils. If the 1,8 cineole is above 10% note the following safety precautions: Do not apply full strength to the face, eyes, or nose. Do not apply, even diluted, to the face or nose of infants or children under 10 years of age. Avoid diffusion for longer than 15 minutes in a well-ventilated room for children under ten years of age. Always check the safety precautions for each oil and follow the administration guidelines and dose and duration. Duration of exposure is as important as concentration. This is an important safety consideration throughout your studies. Always consider dose and duration whenever you use essential oils.

Herbal Architecture (energetic layer – optional)
This blend is directed flow and hepatic authority — bile regulated through command, clarity, and intelligent movement rather than purging or suppression.
Rosemary stands alone here by design: it contracts, directs, and restores order to bile flow without introducing neurological risk or instability.
The herbs function as hepatic regulators, ensuring bile moves when needed, drains when excessive, and resolves cleanly without exhausting the liver.
Primary magical priorities:
• Regulation of bile flow (not just increase or decrease)
• Liver authority and tone
• Reduction of stagnation and pressure
• Protection against over-clearing or depletion
• Clean endings and safe rotation
Designed to work with waxing moon phases (restore flow, strengthen liver function) and waning moon phases (release excess bile, ease stagnation).

Crystal Field Architecture — Permanent Oil Submersion (optional)
Intent of the Blend
Energetic support for excess bile relief, balanced liver–digestive field flow, and renewed metabolic steadiness. This blend’s crystals support lowering of internal excess, recalibration of digestive rhythm, emotional nervous-system ease around imbalance, and grounding of release.
Six Crystal Choices for This Blend
1. Moss Agate
Moss Agate supports gentle, natural rhythm and systemic renewal. In a situation of energetic excess or stagnation, it encourages the body’s own cycles to resume balanced movement rather than forcing discharge.
2. Green Agate
Green Agate reinforces stable circulation of energy and vitality. It helps the system release excess in a slow, balanced way rather than fluctuating between extremes.
3. Grey Agate
Grey Agate brings neutral composure to the nervous system, preventing reactive tension or emotional loops from interfering with the digestive or metabolic field during energetic clearance.
4. Amethyst
Amethyst calms and regulates mental patterns that can accompany imbalance, supporting clarity and reducing fixation or stress responses that disrupt systemic flow.
5. Ocean Jasper
Ocean Jasper supports emotional circulation and parasympathetic ease, helping the body and emotional field stay integrated and undisturbed during release of excess.
6. Smoky Quartz
Smoky Quartz aids in grounded discharge of residual charge and tension, helping pull excess energetic density down and out of the system so it doesn’t linger or rebound.
Synergetic Pairs
Synergetic Pair 1 — Moss Agate + Green Agate
Encourages gentle restorative rhythm with steady continuity. Moss Agate fosters movement while Green Agate reinforces stable flow through the digestive and metabolic field.
Synergetic Pair 2 — Grey Agate + Amethyst
Neutral composure paired with perceptual calm supports lowering of excess without tension or reactive interference.
Synergetic Pair 3 — Ocean Jasper + Smoky Quartz
Emotional circulation aligned with grounded discharge. Ocean Jasper softens emotional body tension; Smoky Quartz helps pull excess charge out of the system.
Synergetic Pair 4 — Moss Agate + Smoky Quartz
Organic rhythm supported by grounded release. Moss Agate maintains natural pacing; Smoky Quartz ensures that residual buildup is discharged cleanly rather than recycled.
