Why use sigils, runes, and talismans?
The energy that goes into creating them and the physical difficulties of creating paper and/or ink, they are incredibly powerful.
Sigils (symbols) surpass human logic and go straight to the subconcious mind.
Sigils require activation and this also makes them very powerful- the more times you’ve activated a sigil, the more energy it has, therefore the more powerful it is.
You've probably heard of the sigil method where you write it out, cross out the vowels, and make a shape out of connecting and/or overlapping letters.
But there's another sigil method - an ancient one (adapted to English) - It's called The Sigil Wheel.
Lindsey Squire at Witchbox Co wrote a great tutorial on how to use The Sigil Wheel method. I encourage you to read it.
In all honestly, I feel like this method allows for more creative and beautiful sigils.
And of course, you can include your favorite sigils in your daily eyeliner sigil tattoos! I have a journal and body correspondence for that here.
